API Terms

Additional terms for the ShownInAI REST API (Growth and Enterprise).

Access

API keys are available on Growth and Enterprise plans. Keys are secret: keep them server-side, never in client code or public repositories. You are responsible for all requests made with your keys.

Limits

Requests count towards your plan's scan and tracking limits and are rate limited. We may apply additional limits to protect the service. Do not use multiple keys or workspaces to exceed limits.

Use of data

You may use API results in your own products and client reporting. You may not offer a service whose main purpose is to resell ShownInAI data or replicate ShownInAI, without an Enterprise agreement. Attribute 'Data from ShownInAI' when you publish leaderboard data.

Changes and deprecation

The API is versioned (/api/v1). We will give at least 90 days' notice in the Changelog before breaking changes to a stable version, except where needed for security or legal reasons.

Availability

The API is provided without an uptime commitment unless you have an Enterprise SLA. Check the Status page for current health.

Termination

We may revoke keys that breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. These terms supplement the Terms of Service.
